What Skicy does, answers to common questions, and how to reach us.

What Skicy does

Skicy is a native Mac app for composing the screenshots on your App Store, Google Play, Mac App Store, or Microsoft Store product page. Drop in your raw screenshots, place them inside real device frames, stretch one continuous background across a strip of up to ten screens, add headline text, and export PNGs at the exact pixel size each store requires. When the set is ready, publish it directly to App Store Connect or Google Play with one click. A headless command line mode lets coding agents do all of the same without opening a window.

Frequently asked questions

Which platforms does Skicy require?

macOS 14 or later (it runs best on macOS 26). Skicy is a native Mac app; there is no Windows or web version.

Is there a subscription?

No. You buy Skicy once and keep it, with no subscription and no in app purchases. It is coming soon to the Mac App Store and pricing will be announced there.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign in and no account to create. Your projects and screenshots stay on your Mac.

Can Skicy upload screenshots to App Store Connect?

Yes. Add an App Store Connect API key once and Skicy delivers your finished set with one click, straight into the right screenshot slot for the canvas you designed (iPhone, iPad, or Mac). The same flow works headlessly with skicy agent asc-upload, which streams progress as JSON and supports a dry run so you can check the plan before anything is sent. Your key is stored in the macOS keychain, and headless runs can pass credentials through flags or environment variables instead. Skicy publishes directly to Google Play the same way — see the agent CLI section below.

Which stores can I export screenshots for?

Presets cover the current App Store phone and iPad slots, Google Play phone and tablet sizes (portrait and landscape) plus the required 1024×500 Play feature graphic, the Mac App Store, and the Microsoft Store.

Which device frames are included?

Vector frames for iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, Apple Watch, Pixel Watch, MacBook, desktop displays, and PC laptops are always available, along with sketch styles drawn by hand. Official Apple device bezels for the iPhone 17 and 16 families, iPad Pro and Air, Apple Watch, MacBook, iMac, and Studio Display download on demand from Apple's own design resources site, right inside the app. Bundled Android frames (Pixel phone and tablet) ship with the app.

What does the agent CLI do?

Skicy's direct distribution build includes a headless agent subcommand that can create, edit, preview, export, and publish screenshot projects with no UI. That makes it easy to script screenshot generation into a release flow, including from coding agents such as Claude Code. Run skicy agent docs for the full reference: new · describe · set-project · add-image · preview · export · asc-apps · asc-upload · play-upload · validate · list · docs.

skicy agent play-upload --project shots.skicy --package com.example.app [--language en-US] [--replace] [--dry-run] [--key service-account.json] opens a Google Play edit, uploads your exported screenshots into the right listing slot, and commits atomically. Credentials come from the --key flag or the SKICY_PLAY_KEY_PATH environment variable. To set one up, create a service account in Google Cloud Console, download its JSON key, then grant that service account access under Play Console ▸ Users and permissions.

What data does Skicy collect?

Only anonymous, aggregate usage counts. Never your projects, screenshots, or file names, and you can turn it off at any time in Settings ▸ Privacy. See the privacy policy for full detail.

My project file won't open, or a bezel won't download. What now?

Reach out using the contact link below with your macOS version and, if possible, the exact error message. That is usually enough to diagnose the problem.
